INNlocal featured in FEFAL Session

INNlocal Shines at FEFAL: Pioneering Local Innovation and Driving Meaningful Change.
On 5 December, FEFAL hosted a dynamic session focused on coworking spaces and their growing relevance in reshaping collaborative practices within public administration. During the session, Cláudia S. Costa, from the IPB, presented the INNlocal project to a group of local civil servants.

Her presentation highlighted the project’s objectives, its partner structure, and its overarching ambition to foster innovation capacity within local government. She also introduced the Innovation Journey card game, a tool developed within INNlocal to stimulate creative thinking, support reflection, and help teams explore innovation challenges in a practical, engaging way.

As part of the session, INNlocal also shared the Local Innovation Culture Self-Assessment Tool, a resource designed to help municipalities evaluate their maturity level regarding innovation culture. This instrument supports local administrations in identifying strengths, diagnosing capacity gaps, and guiding the development of tailored innovation competencies.

Bringing together employees from several areas of public administration, the session created an energetic environment for sharing perspectives on emerging workspaces and experimentation-driven approaches. The presentation of INNlocal contributed to this momentum, showing how the project offers concrete tools and learning opportunities for building more agile and future-ready public services.

With this initiative, FEFAL and IPB continue strengthening the visibility of INNlocal and promoting the adoption of innovative practices across Local Public Administration.
