Local Governance, Training and Innovation in Focus in Portimão
Strengthening Local Innovation: INNlocal Represented by FEFAL at ANAFRE’s XX National Congress.
The INNlocal project was represented by its partner Fundação para os Estudos e Formação nas Autarquias Locais (FEFAL) at the XX National Congress of ANAFRE – Associação Nacional de Freguesias, held from 30 January to 1 February 2026 at the Portimão Arena.
Bringing together parish presidents and local elected representatives from across Portugal, the Congress served as a key national forum for discussing the challenges and future of local administration. Through FEFAL’s participation, INNlocal was present in this strategic space for dialogue, reinforcing its connection to local authorities and its commitment to fostering innovation, capacity-building and collaborative approaches within local public governance. FEFAL’s presence at the event contributed to strengthening synergies between training, innovation and local administration, in line with INNlocal’s broader objectives of supporting more future-ready and participatory local public services.
